The Role: Social Media Manager

We are looking for an experienced and creative Social Media Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy that enhances our brand presence and builds meaningful connections with our community. You will manage and grow our social media channels, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube, ensuring that all content aligns with our brand voice, mission, and goals.

Key Responsibilities

As the Social Media Manager, your core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing Social Media Strategy: Lead the creation and execution of Busha’s social media strategy, ensuring it aligns with overall marketing goals and brand objectives.

  • Content Creation & Curation: Create high-quality, engaging, and innovative content for all social platforms. This includes writing posts, creating visual assets, and collaborating with designers to ensure that content is both compelling and on-brand.

  • Community Engagement: Actively engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, professional, and brand-aligned manner. Foster relationships with followers and influencers to enhance brand loyalty and awareness.

  • Social Listening & Trend Monitoring: Stay on top of the latest social media trends, digital culture, and emerging technologies in fintech and crypto, and integrate relevant trends into Busha’s social strategy.

  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute social media campaigns to increase brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation. You will be responsible for running paid social media campaigns, monitoring performance, and optimizing for better results.

  • Brand Voice Consistency: Ensure that all content and engagement is in line with Busha’s voice and tone, ensuring consistency across all platforms.

  • Performance Analysis & Reporting: Track social media metrics and KPIs to evaluate the success of content and campaigns. You’ll generate detailed reports and use data to optimize strategies and suggest improvements.

  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the marketing, design, product, and customer success teams to ensure all content is in alignment with marketing campaigns, product updates, and customer insights.

  • Influencer Marketing: Develop partnerships with influencers, thought leaders, and relevant content creators to expand brand reach and increase engagement within the crypto and fintech space.

  • Reputation Management: Monitor social media for any brand mentions or potential issues and respond swiftly to manage and protect the company’s online reputation.


Requirements

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications and skills:

  • 3+ years of social media management experience, preferably in fintech, crypto, or technology industries.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and the ability to adapt strategies to different channels.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to write compelling copy and tell engaging stories.

  • Experience with social media analytics tools (such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer, Meta Business Suite, etc.), with the ability to track, measure, and optimize content performance.

  • Creativity and attention to detail in developing original content, as well as working with graphic designers, photographers, and videographers.

  • A strong visual sense, with an understanding of design principles to effectively guide creative work.

  • Experience running paid social media campaigns, especially in the areas of brand awareness and lead generation.

  • A deep understanding of community engagement and the ability to build and maintain a loyal online community.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies based on performance.

  • Experience in the crypto, fintech, or tech sectors is a major advantage but not a requirement.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).


Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with the African social media landscape and experience managing social media campaigns for emerging markets.

  • Personal or professional interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain, or digital finance, as this will help you connect with our audience.

  • Basic graphic design or video editing skills (using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).

  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at once.
